Meta Refresh and Hiding Referrer

Looking at lots of landing pages and following click redirects, it seems a lot of affiliates are using double meta refresh or http to https redirects to blank the referrer?

Why are they doing this?

Are sellers/vendors scrubbing per domain referrer?

Is there another reason they might be doing this?

Seems to be for Clickbank and Buygoods products etc.

So are they showing a different landing page (high quality) to the vendors as the referrer ?

Its all native ads like Revcontent and Mgid, so vendors could easily just check .

Not sure what they are up to really but I know my conversions have collapsed :-(
