Meta is storming and blocking Verified BM at scale this week?

Hey guys. Wanted to know if this is a general thing, so I open up the discussion

Recently, in the past few days, seems like Meta Updated something and a lot of Verified BM for WhatsAPP API have been blocked. Also ad accounts.

Also, the providors with who I work, they tell me Meta has updated the way they Verify Bm...

Someone else having this issues?

Yup. Meta's updates are wreaking havoc on WhatsApp API and ad accounts. BMs getting blocked left and right!
 
In the past few days, many verified BMs (especially those using the WhatsApp API) have been restricted or blocked, even without any clear policy violations. Some ad accounts were also disabled.
A few partners also mentioned that Meta recently updated the BM verification process - possibly with stricter checks or a new automated system.
So you're definitely not the only one. Looks like Meta is tightening things up or doing some kind of system cleanup. If anyone has more info, feel free to share.

Yes, this is happening for many people recently. Meta rolled out stricter verification for BM accounts (especially those using WhatsApp API). A lot of older Verified BMs are getting flagged or even blocked.

What you can try:

1. Double-check if your BM has full documents (gov ID + business license + utility bill).

2. Avoid re-using the same payment methods or domains that were linked to flagged accounts.

3. Try creating a fresh BM under a clean profile – some people report higher success this week with new setups.

It looks like Meta is pushing everyone to go through the official verification flow again. You’re not the only one facing this issue.

this is not for all regions though, we should have seen this place on fire if most whatsapp bm are been blocked, keeping fingers crossed over a few
 
I’m seeing issues too, especially with new BMs.

a couple of verified BMs went down this week, feels like Meta tweaked the filters again. Do you think it’s just a temp wave or the new normal?

This may just be a temporary squeeze due to Meta tweaking its algorithm, but if it happens frequently, it will likely become the “new normal” in filtering and restricting BM.

I am interested for the clocking thing. any recommendations?
 
I agree with you that FB has been a bit strict lately because they often lock accounts or the resulting costs are very high.

We have our own solutions and resources so we are not affected much.
 
Recently I saw many verified BMs being locked unexpectedly, proving that Meta is tightening its grip more than before. Maybe they are launching a big review and it will last longer.

Hopefully this is just a short term policy to give small businesses like us a chance to grow. We have had to replace a lot of BMs recently due to being scanned and blocked by the meta system.
 
This week, Meta might be flagging and blocking Verified BMs on a large scale due to system - level issues. It could be an update in their ad - review and 风控 algorithms. These might be more sensitive to abnormal behaviors, like rapid account - related actions or using unauthorized tools. Also, there are rumors of malicious reporting by certain groups. But with many stable accounts affected, it's likely a system - side misjudgment. Check Meta Support Center for specific reasons. To avoid issues, stick to Meta's policies and don't use automated tools.
 
I also see many BMs affected these days, you should try to contact support directly and prepare enough documents to verify, or temporarily divide the budget into several backup BMs to reduce risks.
