Hello guys,

I am encountering an issue with Meta while trying to link it to my platform/android app. They asked for business verification and I uploaded the document. They asked for the phone number and asked for "proof" of the phone number of the business (which I think is ridiculous). The problem is, none of the UK government tax documents or registration documents include a phone number. My accountants have confirmed that there is no way to add one to the tax documents as well.
The UK phone number I got is through Vyke, and it's not a valud "utility bill". I am not a resident of the UK.
I have also tried with a company registered in the US and they asked for similar document for the phone verification, and the same issues there, no government document requested includes a phone number.

Did anyone face this issue before? What worked for you? Any workaround?

I appreciate your insight and help. Cheers!

Are you running ads in the UK?

Yeah, this is a common issue with Meta verification. They usually want a phone number that matches a document from an official source (like a utility bill, bank statement, or telecom invoice). VoIP numbers like Vyke often get rejected because they can’t be verified as a physical business line.

What worked for some people I know:
  • Using a real mobile or landline registered under the company name with a major telecom provider
  • Uploading a recent bank statement that shows the business name + phone number (if the bank includes it)
  • Making sure the phone number on Meta exactly matches the format on the document
There’s not really a “workaround” — Meta is strict on this. The safest way is having a proper telecom bill tied to the registered company details.

Hello everyone,

I found a solution and it worked, so i thought I'd share with the community.
They accept bank statements as "Utility bill" so I asked Wise to issue a statement with a phone number, they said they couldn't. So I went and asked Mercury, and they did issue a stampted document with the phone number and Meta accepted the verification.

Good luck everyone!
