message only 5000 or lower group members. wtf???

since when is this. facebook wont let you send message to roup members if u have more than 5k members. wtf? i have one group with 46k members. now i dont see the link to message all members haha. does anyone know when this came in or has it been long term lol?

was planning on contacting them all.

yeh thanks. i am doing the fan page route aswell see if i can accumulate members. its a shame u cant contact them if u have more than 5000. what a stupid limit lol. some groups have millions of members. so how would u contact the members? you cant right?

The limit has been there for quite few months now. And the reason for this was that people were spamming members. Kind of fair enough i think. Inconvenient, but fair enough

Yeah the max is 5k, good thing to do when this happens, create a fan page linked to your group page as the fan page doesn't have such limits. Good luck!

yeh u just create a page rather than a group. i have many pages myself. some new some old.
