Message from Google.

One week ago I have received message from Google saying
"Google Webmaster Tools notice of detected unnatural links to mydomain"

but my domain still ranks pretty good for many keywords.
If they don't plan to deindex my site why are they sending me this message ?

My be they want you to remove those links and build more natural looking links to your site. I have heard from my friend saying that google asked few people from where they buy link building service sending messages through webmaster tools and then they de-index the blog network or websites from where they buy those links.

May be its their way to find out BMR or ALN networks and to de-index them.

Google doesn't want you to build any links at all. This is why even white hat SEO is actually black hat, because Google considers any form of link building to boost your keyword rank to be against their policy - they want other people to naturally link to you as your site gets more popular - you building links to your own site doesn't show its popularity, it just shows you're determined to game the system. The good thing is that if you do it right, they can't tell at all

I cant look for the video Matt Cutts did about this because i'm at work, but i'm sure someone will know which video i mean.

If these links were not built by yourself, what can we do?

As a 'friendly' reminder that they're keeping an eye on everyone in their index.

Seriously though, nothing more than scare tactics.

it can take several weeks before your rankings are hit. If you got the message then you can be pretty sure your rankings will drop

How far your site will drop for your keywords will basically depend on your link portfolio. Based on my understanding, this message from Google is saying that "we have found that your site is being linked to from sources we don't like (eg. blog networks), and those links will be getting deindexed".

Once this links are unindexed, the ranking boost you were getting from those links will no longer be there.

I got this message on one of my sites, and within a week, the number of total links to my site went from 106,000 all the way down to 96,000. Drop in rankings has been minimal, but if more of my links continue to get deindexed, then obviously my site will drop further.

I got it on for a site we have only ever used UAW for. Are they next to go?

Treat it like a 'heads-up', check all your links and take down the ones that look suspecious or ones that don't relate to your sites content. If you just leave it the big G might sandbox your site.
