Hello all. I've been poking around BH for a long time, but never posted much. Going to change that.

Taking a site that was hit with SEO over optimization penalties and fixing some over optimization penalties.

Currently experiencing degraded traffic due to unclear site structure and too many seo pages targeting too many key phrases.

Does anyone have good results with mergely multiple SEO targeted pages with short form content (roughly 300 words) all relative to the same topic, merging that content into long form going to 2000+ words.

It is indeed helpful to not have multiple pages targeting the same keywords or closely related keywords. So having longer articles would help rankings.

Make sure you make good use of 301s when moving content from one page and condensing it into another so as to not trigger duplicate content issues (since G has already indexed that content on its existing URL). Also, if those articles are TOO similar you may run into keyword density issues and flag a spam score from that as well.

If it was Panda that hit you, it may take a long time to recover. G seems to re-fresh Panda only every so often.

    Best of luck to you!
