I want to merge two facebook pages, however before I can I'd need to change the name of one of them to match the other, then I would transfer the admin to the account I want to merge and operate it under.

My question is, has anyone got any experience doing this? And is there anything wrong with this i.e. is it against facebook T&C's?

No offence but yes you can....that wasn't my question though

It is possible. Merging pages combines all your likes and check-ins, but all other content such as posts, photos and the username are permanently deleted. Also, the pages that you merge must be about the same thing. If it's not clear that the pages represent the same thing, Facebook won't allow it.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I'm aware of the basics....my question is a specific one though.....

Your specific question relates to changing the name then? I can't see any issue re changing the name in the T&C. However, if the content of the page is unrelated to the page you want to merge it with, regardless of the name, Facebook may not allow it.

1. Both pages are related in that they are both in the comedy niche and both post similar content.
2. Pages need to have the same name in order to be merged, meaning I would need to change one of the names to correspond with one another.
3. If the name change is accepted, I would need to transfer the page to another account to process the merge.

Do you see any issues with this process? I assumed it may be a problem as it could possibly be open to abuse.

Thanks
