Is selling merchandise dangerous for copyright strike ? I'm talking about creative ideas/designs and not copy/paste content on T-shirts and mugs. I've been having some serious ideas but I don't know how to do this safely.

No. I mean to make art using a copyrighted character from a video game or movie/series.

Great ?, not an expert at all on this, but if you take an image and use it, like lets say you take MasterChief from Halo, and smack him on a mug or t-shirt copyright infringement.
Now if you hand draw masterchief, and its your work of art I believe you can print it, not 100% on that, but I believe its your art you created it so I believe you can.
I know if you do print on demand for shirts, mugs etc, from sites like printful, or teespring, their ai will scan your image and advise if it is a copyright issue and refuse to print it.

Yes it's a bad idea since they are the one's who copyrighted the character and if that tshirt or design is featured in your website. I think you have to pay them royalty.

If you have a license to use it, yes. Otherwise it is churn and burn and you will probably get an email from a lawyer sooner or later. If you are doing it, make sure you are hiding everything. Use a stealth PP account for checkout. No real name for domain and hosting. I saw many guys selling these kinda products on their own website using Facebook ads to get traffic.
