A few months back I did a partial redesign on a client website. Someone before me created a menu with Uber Menu using WordPress, so I implemented it at the clients request. This thing is massive and has about 200+ items on it with different cities etc. on it for service.
Now doing competitor research to try and get an idea of word count on my clients site vs. the competition to see if we need more content, I am seeing all of these cities pop up as words that it's counting, so is all of the data from the menu possibly negatively effecting the SEO of this website? It ranks fairly well, but I ask because I saw this in an audit before as well and I want to know if huge menus show all of this content to google's spiders so it sees all of this duplicate content in the menu with the same services in different cities.
