Mentality

Does anyone else starting up have it in their head that their playing a game of catch-up and that they're way behind the curve? I know that i'm a newbie and I know that the people on this form who are successful probably took a long time to get there but there is this over exposure to perceived success one gets when they are first indoctrinated into this community. How do you guys budget your time and how do you deal with a sense of inadequacy for not achieving at the same rate as other members if one is present? I know there isn't overnight success in this industry but it seems as though that is what is advertised. Anyone who has achieved success in IM must have very strong patience and high self confidence to be surrounded by a flood of other people success stories.
