(?) Mens Shoe Sizes...

I'm confused. I wear a USA size 13, and I'm trying to buy shoes online. I mention my shoe size because for some reason, so many manufacturers (the bastards!) seem to stop making shoes after USA size 12, which is not so good for people like me. That being said, I do see some manufacturers who have their shoe sizes listed in EU size, rather than USA size.

I've been doing some chart comparisons and I'm seeing some very mixed results.

Some charts say I should use EU size 47 for USA size 13. Others say EU size 48 for USA size 13. Some say EU size 47 is 12.5 and EU size 48 is a 13.5

Are there any BHWers around here who also wear size 13 and have successfully ordered shoes online that fit well? What size did you go with (assuming USA sizes are not listed), and how did they fit?

I honestly don't know what to do and these charts are all saying different things.

Anyone have any advice? I'm all ears!

Not super helpful but it is a bit of a game of luck when ordering shoes online. For my feet (different size than you) the conversion of the first two tables is what I hav followed with success. I get given two different EU shoe sizes by the tables and have had no worries ordering either. Might have been lucky but the difference has not been noticeable. And this is multiple pairs and styles of shoes over ten years.

if I order even a half size different in US it is usually a deal breaker for me.

I'm not a size 13, but the conversion between EU/US/UK sizing differentiates itself depending on the brand. I suggest you measure your foot in cm and convert thereafter. Different brands - different sizes. For example; I'm a US9.5 in Nike, but a US10-10.5 in Adidas.

Also, go half a size up for optimal comfort. I have never understood people that wants the toes touching the end of the shoe.

The part that concerns me is that it may take around 30 days for the shoes to actually arrive. 30 days for a game of luck...

That is insane! I never considered that different brands would have such different measurements. I will take your advice about measuring a foot.

Unfortunately for me, it's hard enough to find a US size 13. Finding a 13.5 (of a shoe I really like) will be like finding a leprechaun riding on the back of a unicorn.

Basketball stores, you're welcome. Also; Adidas has all shoes up to sz 14 on their site I believe. I recommend ultra boost's, a bit expensive, but feels like walking on clouds. Best of luck

it is hard to find any brand differently size i wear EU 47 - 47.5 - 48

If u have USA size 12 shoes there is just a 1 number difference in size,
I think your legs finger will be tight in USA size 12 but u must wear it several times.
Do it until your legs become short and become comforted xD then u can buy USA size 12 shoes in ur designs

Advice.
It is not good thing to buy shoes online unless you know it will be perfect in size in your legs.
If you know brands, sizes and wore it before. Then u shud do it.
