Let's talk about this,

Self-care has been on my mind a lot recently. I’ve been wondering what specific things you guys have been working on or improving in your self-care routine.

I’ve recently started focusing more on sleep, cutting out distractions before bed. But I’m curious what have you guys been improving in your routines?

Any habits you’ve added that have made a real difference?

Yes, I've added new habit from Newyear 2025.

I Started to write something like positive Affirmations, motivational quotes, Positive thoughts ..

I'm writing this daily from Day 1 (Newyear 2025) without break..

I can able to feel some +ve changes with the mindset, happy thoughts & also improved my Consistency level.

Happy to say :- Today is going to be Day 50 / 365.

This New habit have made a real difference.. & also improved my daily routine in BHW Forum..

I love self-care and I have a pretty lengthy self-care routine based on my individual needs.

Mornings
In the mornings, I take a brisk shower where I wash my face with an oil-absorbing face wash and use a shampoo and conditioner that's specifically meant to help with my scalp health.

After I get out, I put a product on my scalp to improve the thickness of my hair and then I use a bit of pomade to condition my hair.

Mid-Day
I sometimes will apply biotin oil on my scalp and sit under a red light therapy (RLT) panel I have next to my couch for 30 minutes. It's debatable on whether or not the biotin helps, although I like the smell of it and I find the RLT panel relaxing.

A few times a month, I use a heated foot spa or use face masks as well.

Nights
Like my morning routine, my night routine begins with a shower. I use the same shampoo as I do in the mornings (normally, you're not supposed to shampoo your hair every day, but this particular shampoo can be used multiple times a day due to its formulation). I wash my face again and, depending on the day, I use a rotating exfoliating brush with the cleanser. After that, I shave my face, which is my least favourite part of the routine.

I use this retinol body wash and, also depending on the day, I have a rotating exfoliating body brush I use with it. If there are any rough areas (knees, elbows, heels, etc), then I use a sugar scrub on the rotating brush to soften my skin.

After I get out, I use the same hair product as I do in the morning on my scalp and then I apply a leave-in conditioner on my hair. I use a retinol face cream after and then I use a moisturising cream on every part of my body, except for my hands and feet. Finally, I use Urea cream on my feet and put socks on to wear overnight, and then I apply a hand cream.

Damn and here is me like:

I wake up, work out and shower.

Then I'll down copious amounts of coffee, pop a nicotine gum and a couple caffeine 200mg tabs.

That's my morning routine.

I recently fixed my sleeping schedule so that's huge for me.

Then work work work, baby.

Combing my hair to the left one day and to the right the other day is really helping me focus on my hair, or whats left of it. Nowadays I feel like the lion king looking in the mirror, great boost of mentality.

We have something in common :D

I wake up, work out and shower.
I'm just a regular everyday normal m'fker

Nothing special 'bout me, m'fker!

I'm up early in the morning and in bed early at night

To be productive at work, I gotta be well rested!

cutting out distractions before bed
Did it actually help? I see so many people saying this but it's super hard to do.

Reading a book for an hour before bed?

conditioner
Whenever I go to a hotel and see a bottle of conditioner, I ask myself where does this even go? Before or after the shower, on skin or hair? LOL

How? How did you solved that?

Reading a book or listen a radiophonic theatre play/podcast. If you have the possibility, do a short walk outside (the air is cleaner at that time).

As I put on roughly 20kg in the last year, I did make changes to my this year's.

1. Exercise at a fixed time
Two hours of badminton every weekend, which is good for my cervical spine.

I bought simple gym equipment, for push-ups and sit-ups.

2, Weekly massage

3, Quit drinking sugary drinks
Try more Chinese tea which is really good and recommend you all to try them.

4, Regular sleep
I still can't change my bedtime, I usually work until 2am-4am to sleep. But instead of forcing myself to wake up early, I make sure to wake up.

5, I still don't like to shave but try to keep my scruffy beard as I don't need to meet my clients often. And since I don't come home often, I don't want my wife to think I'm hanging out in the wee hours of the morning.

Just eat healthy foods and exercise - be natural and organic , no more extra skin/beauty care routine (just a waste of money).

Cutting down on my sugar intake. Trying to eat better food.

Avoiding social media completely, using it for work purpose only.

Plus increasing my meditation time. Nothing like a state when your mind is completely still without any thoughts.

I realized most of my time spending on mobile and online platforms ( Like - YT, Insta & Fb), So decided to cut off this, But really is not possible in a single day, So I just reducing the usage of this, Now I feel really good improvement in my mindset, fortunately, it's divers to new habits.

Now, I feel fresh while more time on my work.

I deleted the Instagram app, I don't use platforms like TikTok, Facebook. I'm thinking of deleting the WhatsApp app and I plan to stay away from all technology devices on Sundays. I realized that I really tire my mind a lot and that new generation gadgets negatively affect the human brain. Self-care is really important. If everyone gets away from technology, they will have a healthier brain.

Self care routine:

-> Using scrub every Sunday on the face.
-> Jacking off 2 times a day for keeping the brain sane.
-> Pumping coffee into the system for optimum performance.
-> Listening to soothing music for say 30 minutes each day.
-> Watching necessary YT videos at 1.75X to save time and hence, create more time for self care.
-> Waking up early.
-> Drinking decent amount of water.
-> Walking 5 - 15 Km depending on extra time available each day.

etc. etc.
