Does buying ads on popular meme accounts still work for traffic? Specifically adult traffic

My assumption is that it's way overdone and doesn't convert well anymore

yes, it still does but not as good as some time ago, though it still works

Yes, however it is good when you also post "meme page" related content. That will help your content get more reach aswell since its a similar user base.

I don't think it's very effective anymore, you need to focus on meme content, that will help you reach the right audience.

You should think yourself do you go and watch the content if any meme page gives shoutout to it? Most probably no, so it won't work.

Can screw up the initial reach. If the meme account has majority of trash traffic already following it then you will also have the same trash on your page as well.

It's difficult to generalize. It can still work, but it’s hit or miss now. A lot of meme pages have fake or low-engagement followers, so traffic quality varies a lot. Usually works better if the page has real engagement in the comments, not just big follower numbers.

Adult traffics are not certain on meme pages but could try if any result, but making promotion using cloaking method to promote adult traffics is the option perfect for adult niche promotion.
there are other options of using mass dm to remit convert of traffics.

niche gotta be closely related ... unless if youre promoting music through IG sounds.

It can still work but traffic is very cold. Many people just like the meme and leave. Works better if the niche matches the meme page audience.

Yes you are correct; it's so over done that people might even block your accounts. As far as meme pages go if they did a shout-out would you pause to just even give it a glimpse?

From what I’ve seen, it can still work, but it’s very hit or miss now. A lot of meme pages are overused for promos, so the traffic isn’t as responsive as it used to be.

Conversion mostly depends on the page’s audience quality and how well the promo fits the niche. Some pages still convert, but many just send low‑quality traffic.

The effectiveness of this method depends on genuine interaction in the comments rather than just the number of followers.

it's still effective, but not as "profitable" as before. Many meme pages now have too many ads, so viewers are used to it and click less often. If the content and target audience match, it will still generate traffic, otherwise, it's easy to waste money.

Hey, you're right — buying ads on popular meme accounts for adult traffic is heavily overdone and rarely profitable anymore. The traffic is mostly low-intent scrollers who click out of curiosity, leading to terrible conversion rates and high bounce. These pages are also saturated with similar offers, which makes detection and account restrictions happen much faster now. Most experienced advertisers have already moved away from this method.
