Membership Script to forum integration

I am in need of a membership script that can be integrated with SMF forum so that when they sign up, they automatically get an ebook download link and automatically signed up to a private forum with the username and password sent to their email address. I'm pretty sure amember can do it but it's a little expensive for only one license. Any other script that would work. Clickbank integration would also be nice.

Have you checked at Wikipedia under forum software? Many are free and they show comparisons of various softwares. I'd like to find someone to install one for a subdomain to my already website but it doesn't appear there is any support with the softwares even if you pay them since it is even hard to contact them. Maybe this will help you though. Good luck.

google for phpautomemberarea. it is pretty easy to set up and free to use if you don't mind a small banner ad once in a while. registration is pretty cheap too if you want to get rid of the advertizing. i think it was less than 12 bucks for 2 years or something like that. It had paypal integrated when I found it for my site. It might have clickbank too now, I think in their forum i saw it as a future feature.

or you might try joomla and then search their forums for paypal and clickbank modules. i think joomla is open source and free. but i think the phpautomemberarea maybe a smaller and simpler script to set up.
