I have an ecommerce store in the nutra field running Google Ads (white hat) for a few years now; no cloaking, just carefully chosen products that wouldn't flag my campaign.
I'd like to expand my product list with some popular products, but some are restricted by google leading to unapproved campaigns.
I've thought of two different work arounds, but I'm still concerned that it may end up getting my current long-running ads taken down when the site is crawled again.
Method 1:
The restricted products are only shown when you register and log in. I'm assuming this wouldn't allow the product page to be crawled and detected.
Method 2:
Sending out a passworded pdf catalog of the restricted products and their SKUs (passworded because google indexes pdf files). There would be a public 'Catalog Product' product page with variable option to choose the SKU corresponding to a product in the pdf. The SKU would mask the product.
Are either of these a viable option?
Google Ads are currently the only ads I'm running driving traffic to the site, so I really want to make sure this wont affect my site and lead to campaign disapproval .
In the case a manual audit is done, could this be a problem?
