I am about to shop for something more handsfree to just expermient a bit with various platforms/methods. Since Mega Robot Bomber and GSA SER are nearly the same price (but largely different otherwise), i need some opinions. I already read the BST and am pretty impressed, it can do a lot of stuff handsfree. MRB on the other hand does a lot of things besides just backlinking (views, folllowers, acc creation etc), but i can't find any reviews here on BHW. So, if you would have to chose, which one would you take and for what reasons?

I have never heard about Mega Robot Bomber but I own GSA and all I can say that it is a fantastic software ;) I am ranking a website solely on GSA created links.
 
Mega is one ugly program, it has a lot of feature but its not a patch on gsa at all
 
I haven't seen the MRR yet but will look that one up. Currently using the GSA SER demo at the moment and all seems to be working quite nicely after the initial setup
 
I've been looking at both these programs also and have been considering testing one of them. At this stage I'm leaning towards GSA mainly due to the fact that from a purely SEO point of view the functionality is brilliant, you can target specific country links, you can target links that are above a certain PR and from what I've read so far there is a really good mix of ******** links with GSA...actually mainly ******** links as opposed to nofollow links. The link diversity is supposed to be incredible on GSA also... I am also leaning towards GSA because from what i can see it's a really simple interface and easy to use piece of software where as Mega robot Bomber is requires a bit of a learning curve due to the additional functionality... Sure there are more features in Mega robot bomber but I think if you focusing purely on SEO then GSA would be a better option bcos it has all the features u need to implement a strategic SEO campaign that's safe from google updates.. I will be downloading the 5 day trial soon to test GSA, soon as I have cleared up enough time in my schedule to test this software properly... that's my 2 cents :) hope it helps....
 
Thanks, have bought GSA. Also found out that my VA has MRB, so i will let her test the features of it. BTW, if the owner of MRB reads this thread, for a 48seats license I would model/render you a cool robot for your logo (and not that cheap looking MS paint thing...).
 
These programs are entirely different animals. Only GSA runs on auto. I'd go with that
 
GSA is the best tiered link program on the market. It's a close run thing with scrpaejet and NHSEO not far behind, but GSA gets my vote (i have all three)

Pros


  • Providing great link variation
  • Giving user control over PR, OBL, nationality of links
  • Can link small web sites almost on it's own
  • Good for local marketing (local websites with low and local only competition)
  • More or less hands free
  • Great platform variation
  • Ability to have many projects running at once
  • Ability ot have many anchor texts (vital)

Cons


  • It's not so good at handling content.
  • Some of the sites (like guest books) are a waste of time (disable guest book posting if I was you)
  • Does not have any bespoke platforms (only cookie cutter platforms)

I would use GSA in conjunction with a content distribution software like Nuke or Ultimate Demon for "medium" sites or larger.
GSA on it's own has ranked a couple of smaller sites for me in less competitive markets "almost" single handed. It handles local marketing very well in most cases (your local plumber or whoever if you have SEO clients)
Add scrapebox and a few proxies and captcha solves (or captcha sniper) and I reckon you could rank most sites over time with this small tool set.

I've been researching MRB for some time and honestly... stay away from it. If the developer cannot make the effort to at least make it look good then you know what support you can expect.

I'll be giving a full test of GSA these days. So far I've been just exploring the options and I must say I'm impressed.
