Title.

Next week at 3pm I have a meeting setup, in person with a local plastic surgeon. I've always been pretty good at bullshitting over the phone, but hurr durr.... The receptionist said "bring whatever with you and we'll see you then".

Anyhow, I have example "review cards" I already sent into print. I would assume I would bring two service agreements (month to month or billed in 6 month increments with discount). As for the review funnel, thats on our website online. I dont think I have any other propaganda/brochures to bring it. Its not to complex to understand how this works and how I can help.

Anyone ever do in person meetups? How'd it go? What'd you bring?

Welcome to the gun show.

This is where you find out if you've got what it takes to truly do ORM. Good luck to ya.

The last "in person meetup" I did was for a role as Director of SEO for a mid-size development firm. I went in there and absolutely killed. Then the company "Principal" asked me about my thoughts on PageRank. This was in July.

I received an offer, and turned it down to take another role elsewhere.

Protip: Don't call your resource materials "propaganda"...

In my experience when someone asks for a proposal or "can you send me something?" that means they're not interested and they're just trying to get off the phone.

This situation is obviously different. I would bring my laptop and show them first hand rankings. Here are example clients, here is my rank tracker showing where the negative started and where it is today. Here is the actual Google results for that client.

For me it would be less about a printed piece of paper and more about the focus on the work.

Just an update. My meeting with two doctors were yesterday. I popped a small xanax since I’ve never really sold anything in person. I’ve always done well in phone sales tho. I’m in California USA. Anyway, I sold them both. One check for 2880, another for 3000 with a hopeful update of seo and web design this coming Monday.

I talked to both doctors for a week prior to the meeting, so maybe they were both semi warm. I had contracts pre printed. The reason the amount was so high was because my asking price was 600/mo but given they prepaid in 6 month installments I offered 15/20% off. So I sold them both on these terms

Anyhow, thanks for the advice people

Awesome to hear that they both went on the full payment.

Some clients will be reverse, where they cannot afford let's say $3k for a web-design and they'll want to get setup on monthly installments, where you can charge them more, which in the long-run is more profitable but you have less money to re-invest into your business initially.

Keep it up.
