Hi SEO folks,

I started writing on a medium last year and had several posts ranked well in Google. However, I found some of the indexed posts were gone from Google Index. Have no idea what the problem is. The content is of high quality and only published on Medium.com. Nowhere else! Does anyone know what happened?

Thanks

Yup, all post from Medium has been turn to No-index.

My posts on Medium turn to no-index too.
Medium no longer wants to be a parasite

it's time to move to a different parasite tbh,
google sites doesn't work as same as medium, but it still worth it

Medium decided to no-index "low quality" posts to prevent spam. How they decide what is low quality its kinda "secret", but it seems that affiliate links are part of the problem.
Medium is dead
rip Medium
Not really. If I where them I would do the same - parasite SEO isn't something they want on their site, nor posts created solely for links. So they`ll be fine.

Articles of excellent quality, without backlinks, are also closed by noindex.
Probably their algorithms are much more complicated than just text analysis.

It has to be like that. How people abused the site.
But there will another change for sure else the site will be lost which they would never like.

yep, most likely will show the article to some of their readers - see if they like it (time spend reading, claps etc) and then evaluate to allow indexing or not.

This seems to be a mystery. We have two separate medium accounts. The post is unique and in high quality. All of them are written by the same writer. Everything went smoothy and both of them got steady traffic. Suddenly, most of the post in one account were deindexed from Google. The problem is that those post were indexed previously. No problem with another account and the new post gets indexed in one day.

Is there any other site equivalent to Medium? Its noindexing feature is quite frustrating. All our content efforts are going nowhere
