Medium.com instantly disallows story for no reason?

Has anyone else submitted a medium.com story and instantly it has the 410 story under investigation? If I create a new story that says like "test story" it works fine.

I could see if it was something that was political or such. I won't mention that related niche but it's as benign as how to replace weatherstripping on a door. I wonder if a word I used was on the disallow list or something.

I took the test story on a new author, and as soon as I added the first two paragraphs it instantly kicked off the article. Now I'm curious what is causing it. I'm going to find this out in the next few minutes because it's so weird.
 
so weird. just fried 2 accounts. maybe it's that i edited, saved, and then edited and saved again within a minute. i just did this on a vpn so that's 2 different ips and i only had 3 sentences which were as bland as anything so i'm sure it's not the actual words.

The 410 banned error happened when I added the line "So let's look at what tools you'll need to replace weatherstripping". There are no links, no acronyms, nothing. So weird...
 
Maybe you caught into bad words for the word ''strip''
 
trying this on different ips and accounts, it looks like editing the story too many times in a short space may be the cause. the original story did publish ok but then i edited it to put in an image at the beginning and then it had an issue.
 
If it looks spammy, it'll happen,it's a bot, so it'll need human to investigate so that it's not a spam post
But my account as been under investigation for 6 month:D:D
 
I'm determined to find the reason and I'll put it here once I find it. I created the article from scratch and it's natural and not even aiming at any particular keyword. I've done this many times and I think I'm triggering a spam filter somehow somewhere in my article and I just feel the need to find out the exact reason. I just don't see by what I actually wrote what the issue could be since it's not spammy what I wrote.

In my testing here of lots of back-to-back editing and putting in an image, etc, it's been fine so it must be something in my content. just not sure yet. it's just a general article in my niche just to put another backlink in place. I'll figure out the cause so I can move onto the next item lol.
 
I don't know if it's interesting, but I finally nailed down the cause. Believe it or not, it appears it was manually getting hit as it would take anywhere between a minute or two and 20 minutes and once i changed the last line from "for more information on things like this, visit [naked-site-url]" to instead be a keyword link within the body it stopped getting tagged.

It's just amazing that the process was happening so fast and even though writing with the intent to backlink to your own site (even not affiliate) is considered spam, i'm just amazed it was happening that fast as it's never happened to me before at all.
 
Yes some sites follow strict guidelines..better read them before being active in those platforms..also it is better to add the links in keyword text..it looks natural
