Medium and Blackhat methods

We know that all social networks are vulnerable to BHW marketers. But, I rarely see anyone growth hack on Medium here on BHW.

While, I do see some auto-follow unfollow bots working on Medium, but there's rarely any discussion around it here. Just wanted to know what our BHW community is doing around Medium these days? What level of success have you achieved using botting softwares on Medium and what else have you tried so far?

I am going to invest heavily in an open source Medium journey in the coming month, so I thought it would be worth to know what people have already tried.

I asked about Medium. If you think to earn money on Medium then you are targetting a wrong platform.
Some people earned $1k x month. However, this gold rush is gone, now they earn, at most $20-$30.

So, I don't think it's worth to fake visitors. Also, Medium shadow-ban or could ban you at whim, so it's really risky to build something on Medium.

However, it's worth to backlinks and shills.

ps: Medium is for free, however, if you want to play hard, then you must pay $50 x year (It's expensive for the service it gives).

Doooood!

That's not my intention to monetize quickly. I believe in "Go home, go big!".

Think of Medium as a very large platform where you can get like million views in a month just from 6 blogs. With Million views, it is easy to get 10k followers growth per month easily. But, I am not just looking at the follower growth alone.

Let's say you created a publication here where 100s of authority figures want to contribute. This pub gets 200k followers, that's where the real money is my friend.

You can do legit sponsorships, paid editorials, and shit like that.

Now the thing is that one can go completely whitehat and waste a ton of money trying to do it in the hard way. Or, one can use a mix of Blackhat + Whitehat to get there faster.

Strategy is basic:
- Understand Medium's algo (vaguely)
- Hack the shit out of it with 1,000s of my own accounts mass upvoting (similar to what we do on Reddit)
- Gain followers on account
- Gain followers on Pubs

Cash hard after 6 months

I use to do medium botting so much accounts and upvoting. The fuck iing shit accounts got temporary ghosted that was how my many efforts went down the drain.

How do you bot?. fake account?, visitors?, clicks?.

I don't know the ALGO but I think that it involves:
a) the genre (obviously). Especially if it's a clickbait trash article. It's like reading FB sans FB.
b) if you are a "star" (paid) user. (i.e. a pay-to-win).
c) Google also counts. Since most people don't land on the main page but in the articles.

I think in his case it was bots with random upvotes. Medium has some really good Data Scientists that have written excellent algorithms to detect anomalies.
