Afternoon All!

Well a long story short - I've been concentrating on offline business for the last couple months and have completely neglected things online, not even been on here which is shameful!!

Anyway, I've been talking to old contacts and reading around and the general vibe I am getting is that media buying has essentially died a little in the last few months.

People are stating SiteScout is now flooded with users leading to poor quality traffic and that conversions are non-existent.

Is this the case or are people still making good money? The reason I ask is I have money to invest so I'm looking to get into media buying........if it's still worth it!

unchanged ...... maybe its not so trendy any more but works the same as before.

Are there still such large amounts to be made with it though?

Nothing has changed.

People click media and always will. It's what engages them. Be interesting and you'll convert. Nothing has changed.

You know you don't have to join a network like Sitescout, which I never have. Deal with sites directly. Everyone likes money.

It is only going to get bigger. And as more people switch over form SEO to it that will mean you need to get more creative. Honestly, i can only seeing it getting larger in the future.

Yeah, I have been looking into this the last few months.

No way is it dying, it is just going to grow and grow.

More money is going into it than ever and the returns can be amazing.

The only people who would say it is dying are the people that aren't doing it right and without the proper research.

I just wished I had large enough cash reserves to do what I wanted. Will have to wait a while to carry out my plans.

Every other day, or even every day.

Topic: "insert service/method here" is dying!?

Grow a brain people. And for sitescout, that is one of the worst services out there. If you want to do real media buys you do it from private providers.

No , it's not dying , as you can see wasted still the most wealthy person in BHW :D

How do you find sites for direct buy? Just google your niche and contact site admins?

Thanks

Media buys are still going strong. Things in this area are changing but it is still booming.

There are affiliates who are making 5 to 6 figures per day on direct media buying. It's only dead to some because they don't have enough budget to buy data or they just simply give up too early.

To those haters trying to say I don't have enough funds - thanks but I think you'll find I stated I hadn't got into it?!

I'd just heard some negative press but maybe that was more directed at SiteScout than media buying.

Like others have asked, how do you get into buying direct from sites?

It's not dying at all. It's getting more competitive.

Those that aren't surviving are the ones that aren't fine tuning their skills. Those that are smart, analyse their stats thoroughly and make moves based on sound reasoning and data can still turn quite a profit.

Also those that straight up steal other people's creatives and promote the same pages other people are promoting are getting tossed aside by other people doing the same. That part of the media buying world will thin itself out.

I see thread likes Facebook is dead , RIP Twitter , Instagram just died , Its over for tumblr kinda posts everyday
and i still see people making money from them methods get old and new methods are invented every single day be creative and adopt to change or die like your method died

Media Buys are still strong and can deliver more results then SEO based on your creativity and skills which doesn't work all the time for SEO

When I want to buy media I go to sites directly and contact the site admin and ask about their advertising spots. It is a pretty solid
way to get contacts for it and cut out stupid networks that give you low quality traffic and little control over where you advertise.
