    Hello,

    I received this from ebay:

eBay sent this message to (ME) Your registered name is included to show this message originated from eBay.
MC999 Action needed: Please contact eBay Customer Support (Me)
Dear (me) We need your help to confirm some account information. eBay reviews accounts regularly to ensure a safe marketplace. Please contact us as soon as possible. You will not be able to create new listings while we review your account. To speak with an eBay Customer Support agent about reviewing your account, please go to: Ebay Link removed. You'll need to be signed in to your eBay account to get the phone number. We appreciate your help in getting this resolved as quickly as we can. Thanks, eBay Please don't reply to this message. It was sent from an address that doesn't accept incoming email.

Is this standard procedure? The only things I have listed in the past week are some genuine adult stuff, some security stuff, a lighter, some supplements, and a few other electronics. All are still up there, but I can't put anything up. I have had a few buyer problems, but I resolved all of them, mostly by giving a refund (Drop ship). The only other thing I can think of is deviating from the products I said I was going to sell, or perhaps because I share the same residence with my mom (who also sells on ebay). Any ideas? I have been on for a month or two, but had my account activated last September.

BTW, this is not a stealth account. This is my first real account.

If it's your real account why you afraid to contact them?
    From what you say:
You do not sell fake stuff
You have real info on the account

So go ahead and give them a call.

    P.S
It's probably because you use the same address like your mom account.

This could honestly just be a few things. One could be that you tried to sell to many things way to fast. I remember this happening to my account, and they wouldn't let me sell anymore! However you really shouldn't be selling things on your own account if your selling that many things. Just use your account to track products to sell, and of course buy things for yourself. It's best to go stealth and really spread those sales out. Make sure to not sell VERO items either, because regardless if there real or fake they will take them down, until your account has alot of selling feedback!

I hope that helps you out!!!! :) Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks. I am just kinda straight laced about this, and I just don't want anything to happen to my account. I have had two people file reports against me , but I promptly payed both of them (the item was coming slow from China, never bought that product again), thus I was a little nervous.

Damn, they are worse than the IRS XD . I was worried about MC999 because often it meant a ban. I am not as nervous now, as I see it could mean multiple thing. I am just trying to sort it out.

Yeah you shouldnt worry about it, its a standard procedure they do on all new accounts. Its normal to get a MC999 when first starting to sell, the reason they do this is to protect there buyers. So as along as your not selling high risk items or counterfeits you should be good. They will be asking you 3 questions which are, how long it will take you to ship the product, just say 1 shipping day. They will ask if the item is in your possesion, ALWAYS say yes. And they will also ask what do you plan on selling, just mention personal items you would like to sell, stuff that is laying around the house. After these questions, they will take a minute to review the account and remove the restriction. Hope this helps

Its natural to be worried when having a fresh account, and getting this statement right after selling! Just call like ebayultimate said and everything will be ok!

Remember your the "Stealth Person" so make sure you have that information right in front of you just in case so nothing looks fishy :)

Yep, I have to call in for 90% of all my stealth accounts after the first or second listing. Very easy and if this isn't a stealth account even EASIER. :)

Yeah if it is your real account and you haven't done anything bad you should be fine.

This also usually happens when someone tries to sell on a fresh account way to fast. Like they list right after verifying everything. Make sure you browse around a little, and even ask sellers some questions about products. Think like a new person, if this is a stealth account. But like everyone said, if this is your real account then this problem can be solved with eassss :)
