Let's say Tom has an Ebay store with thousands and thousands of different and somewhat unique items for sale that take huge amount of storage for him.
He' struggling to sell large amounts of items because of high competition and thus basically cannot keep buying and listing new items because storage is almost maxed out.
But let's say Tom has an idea. An idea to increase exposure of his exsisting items that would ultimately lead to more sales and freeing up storage.
The idea is to duplicate those exsisting listings. But not conventionally like you think.
Tom has a friend who was once a seller on Ebay as well with substantial selling limits. Let's call him Owen.
Tom wants to list some of his items on Owen's Ebay account to dominate the search more with 2x the exposure because he's aware of Ebay's duplicate policy regarding the same seller which in theory should not be a concern when listing almost the same item but under entirely different person's Ebay account.
His plan would be to change the title, main photo and sligthly tweak the price and add some codename to duplicate items SKU in case of a sell so he could easily track and delete the listing from other account. That's it.
And the duplicate listing will obviously have a new item id.
So now the most important question. What are the chances of running into some trouble with Ebay using this strategy? Are we safe here? Is there maybe even a smarter way of doing this?
