I have just recently come across this idea and put it to work and boy is this maximizing my engagement with my adult audience.
Lately, my sites have been taken a huge fall in CPM from a lot of popunder ad networks. I used to make $50/day for 60-70,000 impressions/day and now I make $10-15. Very discouraging and very annoying. I used to make my money with exoclick, but I am not sure if it was a problem with just the CPM or new adblockers came into effect. Anyways, I knew I needed to change my strategy.
I began experimenting with Adsterra and Popads, but the ads I got from them were not popunders, but pop ups with terrible redirecting spam (I would stay away as it brought my uniques/day down). So, I began to think outside the box and saw that exoclick allows you to use a fallback url and set a hard floor CPM. Well I was tired of getting only .04-.11 CPM so I played around with it and settled on .85 CPM (for now). That value is now giving me $15-$30/day, but more importantly I am getting about half the traffic for my fallback url.
Now the fun part. I began testing out different fallback URLs, but no conversions and they were mainly still based on CPM unless I used a smart link, which rarely gives you rev share and usually $1-2 for successful signups. In the adult industry, rev share in my opinion is one of the best methods as it is likely recurring revenue that will last a long time. With the pointless trials, I realized that people arent getting the attention and randomly close it so I began looking for other more friendly alternative. I came across this site that lets you create links and pages for tiktok, instagram, facebook etc where someone can access all your social media and links from one link in your profile. I began playing around and it began to even catch my eye and put it to the test. I submitted links for dating, webcam, VPN and sportsbooks. All of them, are rev share programs and have been getting quality traffic and have had some already converting.
Although, there has been over 10,000 impressions, I have got 3 dating signups (1 paid), 2 webcam signups and 1 sportsbook signups. Hopefully they start spending some more money, but hey this was 3 days in and I thought Id share my experience.
