Maximize Upwork Earnings by pricing projects the right way

Great share mate! Can you help us with some search string, I mean how you search for a project on Upwork?

Thanks.

I set filters to show me only intermediate and expert level jobs. The maximum competition is at the entry-level jobs, so no point wasting time on jobs that are going to get 20-50 bids.

Then, I add keywords relevant to my niche and save the filters.

Even after all this, I still evaluate the jobs manually before bidding. I go through 50-100 jobs daily and shortlist 10 to 15 based on the likelihood of getting a response, and then bid on them.

I have billed over 50k USD on upwork from my clients working mainly on hourly projects. This does not include several thousand dollars earnings from the clients which I met on upwork but later started to pay directly. I only charge per hour and it is the best pricing model. So your post does not make sense to me

When you are outsourcing those projects than how can you handle hourly projects?

Sorry, saw this just now. I had a teammate who would run the timer for hourly billing on the Upwork time tracker desktop app, move the cursors around, search random stuff related to the job on Google - so that relevant screenshots are captured, while the real work would be done by the guys to whom I'd outsource.

This was working perfectly for me. I've stopped it though as I have moved on to a different niche which works with fixed price only, or the clients contact me outside Upwork to do the work..
