Max Row Import 10,000 - How do I bypass this?

Hey,

I work with huge data sets, often 100,000 rows plus. How can I get past the 10,000 row import limit? I import Tab Seperated sheets, and sort 100,000 rows into 10 sets of 10,000 is the ache in my balls right now! I work with Open Office Calc.

I know this is probably a absolute nub question, but I've Googled and Googled and Googled to try and find the answer, with zero success.

Will be insanely grateful to anyone that can help.

Use Ms Excel, it can support up to 1,048,576 rows in a tab sheet.
If it's a large dataset, why not run a query in database and just get the part that are necessary?

I don't know what "running a query in database" means. And I have paid for custom macros to be built purely for Open Office, purely to support my workflow. I don't really want to switch up now!
