Max keywords for Home Page

I'm hoping this doesn't qualify as a dumb question....
Lets say you have a flower shop in Manhattan. Lets also say you want to optimize for the keyword "Flower Shop Manhattan". With respect to keyword density, what would most of you say would be the maximum times that keyphrase should appear on the homepage including H2 and H3 headings?

Average of sites at #1, #2 and #3 spot.

Not an expert but I have added an extra number of keywords to the homepage. more than 2%. maintaining less than 5%. Hasn't been harmful. I never create backlinks for the homepage and homepage itself barely drive traffic.

We will suggest 1% from the total amount of words. but you need the text to be natural don't force the keywords make it flow, its ok to use the keywords 1-2 times in 500 words text.

Less than 5% would be great

LOL, I've been using closer to 10 %. Will it harm my ranking/SEO?

The most accurate answer you will ever get.

You should always replicate what the first page(of your target keyword) sites are doing.

Curious about the word count?
Calculate the average word count of the first page sites(excluding sites without content).

Curious about the keyword density? Calculate the average density on the first page.

There is no strict exact rule which applies to all niches.
