theres no fixed number and chasing one is the trap. ig doesnt flag the absolute count, it flags the velocity CHANGE, jumping from 1/day to 10/day overnight looks automated, but a warmed account that always did 3-4 can keep doing 3-4 fine. also more isnt better past a point, every post that gets weak engagement drags your average down and the algo then shows the next one to fewer people. so 2-3 that actually land beat 8 that flop. is this a fresh account or aged, and reels or feed? that changes the ceiling a lot.
I do not think there is a magic number that works for everybody. I would rather post once or twice a day with content people actually enjjoy than post several times just to stay active. If the quality remains high and the audience continues to engage that is a much better sign than just increasing the post count.

hey, do you just need to warm up the account? i think 2–3 weeks is usually enough. the main thing is not to just post content, but to act like a real user too - scroll the feed, like stuff, watch videos, leave comments once in a while. that’s actually pretty important

For Stories, you can post 3 to 5 times a day. Since Stories disappear after 24 hours and are meant for your most loyal followers, you can post more often without cluttering anyone's main feed.
For a new account the maximum post should be 3, and a proper push to help the account visible and have engagement. If you need help that's my area of expertise

There is no limitations on instagram. You can post any amount you want but be careful about spam

There is no fixed limit but posting too much in a day can hurt reach if quality of the content drops. According to me, 3 to 4 videos a day do well but make sure your focus is more on consistency and quality than quantity.

reels give you the highest organic reach, but posting them back to back kills their momentum. give each reel a full 24 hours to spread and get views before uploading the next one.

Instagram doesn't penalize you for the volume itself, but for sudden spikes in activity. The sweet spot is 1–3 high-quality posts a day (strictly under 3–5 for fresh accounts). Give each Reel a full 24 hours to gain traction, and shift your higher posting frequency to Stories, where 3–5 posts a day work perfectly
No hard cap, but posting too much could water down your impact.
Most profiles do better with 1–3 quality posts per day rather than filling up the timeline.
Posting more than this means you are essentially competing against yourself for likes and comments.
But if everythinng you post is consistently high-quality and engaging, you can post 4 to 5

I usually post 2 to 3 times a day on Instagram. Quality matters more than quantity. Posting too much can reduce engagement, so staying consistent works better in my experience.

The sweet spot is 1-2 Feed,Reel posts and 5-10 Stories daily, overposting just triggers spam flags and degrades your content quality.
