Matt Cutts - "make sure Google isn't blocked in your robots.txt or we can't index your site"...

Hmmm... really?

Maybe blocking via robots.txt for a couple of weeks will clear some cache they have on their indexes, then you remove the robots block and the site ranks stellar ;)

Haha...Obviously I was kidding, but seriously, anyone taking his word as gospel should rethink their SEO strategies. That is as far as the majority of the shit that comes out of his mouth. Just saying....

What you think about this?

He begins the post with a very clear message:
Okay, I'm calling it: if you're using guest blogging as a way to gain links in 2014, you should probably stop. Why? Because over time it's become a more and more spammy practice, and if you're doing a lot of guest blogging then you're hanging out with really bad company.
After sharing an example of a guest blogging solicitation he received that would violate Google's quality guidelines, Cutts says guest blogging is dead as a linkbuilding tactic:
So stick a fork in it: guest blogging is done; it's just gotten too spammy. In general I wouldn't recommend accepting a guest blog post unless you are willing to vouch for someone personally or know them well. Likewise, I wouldn't recommend relying on guest posting, guest blogging sites, or guest blogging SEO as a linkbuilding strategy.

LOL
Right..... because google knows when you're blogging on a friends blog, or on a strangers blog.

Or is google going to read our Gmail accounts to see who we are friends with now? lol... wouldn't surprise me.

And good luck separating the guest blogs with an external link, from regular blogs that hold an external link.

Again, somehow google can tell the difference?

And how exactly are they planning to identify a guest post in html?

<guestpost>
content
</guestpost>

....

Screw it, lets make up our own html then.

This guy's comments get less intelligent every second.

Works at google...
Doesn't know shit...
Meme?

Hahaha so last months he said, no pyramids, no links, no social media, now not blogs ... use adwords :D what a joke. I don't wanna guess how much money is he making with BH methods behind his crew claiming he is against this. It's like in a politic, from the top you get illegal money but stop other to do it :}

How about some real questions for Matt like

"What kind of soft drinks does he offer his software programmers"

Movie -Anti-trust

:)

Are the porn cookie guys statements indicative of a future Google algorithmic update? Time will tell.

My guess is a guest posting algo might be rolling out soon. I might be wrong.

The penalty WILL NOT be that bad despite collateral damage as you could just NEG seo your competitor with guest posting

oh oh oh ! Matt cutts !! Why do you have to be so cruel ? We only want to rank sites and make money :(
