Yeah you're right. I was just using the notepad and didn't notice that... that's why should always use paper & pen to solve math problems.
Just wanted to point out that the upper line is not clear as you wrote it. Not saying it's wrong, just visualy not optimal. I'd add "(" ")" around the part I marked because otherwise you'd normaly do like 50 - (750/3). But I see that this is just a visual problem since normaly you'd write the sum just obove the fraction line. So for the record, this is how I'd put it: -1/8q = 1/12q + (50 - 750) / 3
