So I heard as well. I think he's long time clean. I remember one of his interviews several years ago, he was saying how hard is for him to watch episodes and seasons of Friends, because he can see there his literal body and face transformations due to using various opioids and alcohol as well. He was addicted to pain killers, cocaine and alcohol. He went to rehab and he was ok after it, in a matter of fact, I think somewhere from season 6 to season 7 you can see his transformation to better. Anyway, very sad, loved his Chandler character and all his irony in the show. Great loss.
