For them to get her photos its more than likely that she put them on there whether it be on a social network or modelling agency site
Every knows if you put something on the internet it can be seen by any and everyone and if someone really wants it they can get it.

Stupid case if you ask me, can't see her winning it.

I bet Match has protected themselves somehow. No way that person is going to come up with any considerable portion of that 1.5 billion. haha
 
That amount is stupid, she is most likely looking for a nice settlement and $1.5G is there only to scare them.
 
Its a class action lawsuit fighting corporate greed in the most liberal jurisdiction in the world for protecting public figures. Abd the solution is as simple as an IP filter, and facial recognition software blocking known celebrities images from being used. Both reasonable steps for Match.com to make.

She will win, not this much, but she will win.

I doubt she get anything, since match.com can claim its users have uploaded (if they can provide their IP addresses incase court order them to do it) those pics and she has to go after those users according to DMCA safe harbor

No way will she be awarded that much she may get something but nothing like the amount asked for.
 
If you actually read the article, you'll see that 'she' is not asking for $1.5b, rather, the class action is seeking a total of $1.5bn, with $1bn being punitive damages and $500m being compensatory damage for 'the victims', which will presumably be put aside in a compensation management trust with 'the victims' able to draw down on it.
The amount that 'she' stands to gain from it is probably not that significant.
 
OMG she is after public service. She filed the suit for getting compensation for the so called 'scam victims' but if she really wanted to take down her pics off the site, she'd have sent a dmca or threat via a lawyer instead of this drama and no doubt this will end up nowhere. Besides the so called compensation trust idea is pure bogus, another easy way for fraudsters being a 'poor scammed person trapped in africa' or 'the princess of late king bla bla' seeking justice after getting whipped imo
