Massplanner: Interacted w/Acct vs Following Acct (Case Study)

Just did a small test with 2 brand new IDENTICAL accounts testing following users who "interacted with acct" vs "Users who follow account"

I notice that a lot of people tend to gravitate towards "users who interact" because you can target current active users. I too do this, but have never actually tested because you normally don't make IDENTICAL accounts so you cannot actually account for all the variables that make users follow you.

Here are the 2 test accounts, Name is almost identical, Logo and Bio are the same, photos are being pulled from the same account (different order). We can test this without any crazy variables being involved.

Here are the source settings. Account on the left is following friends of target accounts, the right is following users who interacted in the last 120 mins. Same exact sources.

Here are my follow settings. Yes, I followed 500-700 people on the first fucking day. Crazy? Maybe.

Conclusion: Following friends of target accounts got me 4x as many followers on the very first day this account was active after 600 follows. The Follow back ratio is shit, but that is to be expected with an account with ZERO Authority.

I will continue to test, as should you, but this is just a very small case study regarding this.

That is really fucking interesting....the account with only 40 followers has 3x the engagement.

Me too. The sources i get most follow backs is followers/[bigaccount] and not the interactedwithposts(which i thought that this would give more followBacks).
I don't know about engagement since i don't post picture. just follow/likes hoping they notice me and check profile and complete cpa/cpi offer.

Great test!

As for the engagement, I find that there is always a way to boost it once you have a few thousand legit followers. It is easier to boost engagement on a larger account than grow the account to be "larger.

Good Luck! Will be interesting to see what happens after 1 week, 1 month, 3 months etc... right now its too early to draw conclusions. theres too many variables... ie, are they following the same amount of people each day... do those sources use bots for engagement in which case following them is a waste of time...

Also, I had several young accounts that surpassed the older accounts with more followers. They grew faster randomly after a certain point. I'm not sure why.. How can an account in the same niche with same settings ranked #10 in my accounts become #1... My #1, #2, #3 accounts are now ranked around #10, #11, #20 in the same niche....

Can't wait to hear more of the case study

Small update

After following about 600 more people on each account, the account following people who follow source account gained 5x as many followers today (150 vs 31)

I also changed the settings on a cat account I had running to follow people follow source account and you can see that my return doubled from yesterday and it's only 5pm.

Thanks for dropping these gems. I've been using MP for FB only but thinking about moving onto Twitter and IG next now that I have my FB accounts farming with MP. I might as well since I paid for the extra modules and have some proxies. How many proxies per account should I use base on experience. With my FB profiles, I have 4 accounts per proxy and things are still running smoothly. Would I be able to use IG with some of the proxies I currently use for my FB accounts, or should I use fresh ones?

I was thinking about using 6 accounts per proxy total. The 4 FB accts + 1 Twitter acct + 1 IG account.

What do you think?

you don't need to use any invalid user filter actually, and it reduces performance linearly.

I try to stay under 3 but i only do IG, i'd assume you'd be alright because they're different services.
