Massive increase of adsense clicks

Hey all,

So on the 28th i noticed at the end of the day when i looked at my Adsense account that i have a 45%~ CTR when i normally have a 2%~ and i has keep carrying on since then i decided it would be a good idea to see if it was a clicked bomb but it seems like all IPs to my website are different and the clicks are super spread across the day.

Anyone got any ideas?

I had some very weird adsense clicks recently
 
Where does most of your traffic come from? Also check what country the IP addresses come from.
 
May be it is just a Google's trick not to pay your money or to ban for the suspicious activity :y:
Or it can be your competitors who used VPN...
 
So 90% of the traffic over these days is organic and mostly all from us other is UK and a rare few from random countries
 
Not sure, if somebody wants to get you banned :) 45% CTR Is crazy...I would say ...get the chqe and cash it as fast as possible before they play with you :)
 
they will mark them as fake clicks no matter if they are ok or not.
A good friend of mine had the same problem. He went from 40$/day to $180-200/day suddenly. He didn't do any tricks, just some random increase in CTR. He reported the problem to Adsense...somehow the CTR dropped again and the earnings went to $10-20. He removed the code for 2 weeks and replaced with a code from another account.

Guess what happend :)
 
interesting, so after this happend he actaully got a loss in earnings month on month?

i think you must be very safe in getting of these ctr hike even adsense can bann us for no reason
 
I too had a similar issue before, I reported adsense to check any fake clicks, and at the month end they reduced my earnings, i.e, finalized earnings was reduced as compared to estimated earnings.
I m glad my account is safe though.
 
Is your site working correclty? The was high CTR on my site when download links didn't work (file hosting service).

BTW you have a very nice daily income. How long did it took you to create such site?

About 7 months on and off, when you say working correctly what do you mean exactly?
 
I've not had that high of CTR but I do sometimes get huge spikes, on average 200 clicks/day, recently i've had 500+/day but the CPC goes right down to 0.05-0.09, no idea what makes it do that though.

All my traffic is legit too.
 
that is massive and professional invalid click that can certainly get your account banned

Tell me about it its still happening and its almost as if it is drip fed all through the day my cpc has gone down now a lot and its been a few days after contacting Adsense and money seems to be getting removed from say 'Tuesdays' finishing amount im not sure this is adsense looking and some how knowing what ones are invalid but yeah.

People who do this should just try and work hard on there own site rather than trying to trash other peoples hard work.. its pathetic...

definitely pathetic

and these things works very well when it comes to adsense. they can screw you easily.

immediately remove your site from allowed sites list
actually if you have system remove ads completey

if your cpc is lower than regular range and ctr is higher - that means you are having invalid clicks
