Massive decrease in REACH??

hey guys, since January my REACH went down really bad!
my impressions are still high and i get to explore most of the time - 70-90K impressions
i used to get 50-70K reach and now i barely get to 32K reach on my posts since January!
anyone experiencing this too? why is that?

Yes, i have experienced that on some of my accounts. But it's probably some changes on ig algorithm, i wouldn't worry that much as it get fixed after some time. Try to lower your bot settings if you use one and change your hashtags on every post, don't use the same.

oh really? botting effect this? what do u mean by botting/.
 
you might have been shadow banned this happened to me and it took some time to fix
 
generally across Ig i’ve seen people’s numbers go down even with good consistent content. so i don’t think it’s only you. my numbers just started going back up 2 days ago.
 
I saw some accounts posting about the 7% display.

Don't know if it's a new thing or not. IG I like to use just like a normal user...
 
this feed is weird. My ER going up on most of my accounts however follows are down, some stay stuck -- case in point.. my 481k raised from 3.22 er to a little over 5% -- barely growing on public status. It was doing fine at private with my slaves shouting it out 1k to 2k a day. I thought it would gain more as public. Possibly a temp shadow as going from private to public status. However it has been a little over 2 weeks and explore not showing on insights.

I tried albums/IGTV/Stories and it just sits there at 481.5 k little movement. I don't have a clue -- I don't use hashtags as they are worthless -- Might just go back to private and grow -- uggg
 
I am also facing this issue and quiet shocked as my social media and most importantly instagram signals are getting low can anyone help me with this regard.
 
I guess ig wants us to spend money for ads, reach/engagement dropped for an account and i spent $10 for that. After 1 week everything get back to normal..
 
All my numbers have gone up since around January 10. Averaging around 1800 followers a day and 500.000 impressions per post. I think it highly depends on how much time your followers spend on looking at the post rather than if they engage with it. This could also be a way to limit the reach of people using engagement groups or other artificial engagement.

My advice is therefore to write longer and more personal captions to actually capture the followers attention. Even the swipe-option helps with this too. I have at least increased my measures since I did this.

you might be on to something. one thing i have done is started writing much longer captions as well as incorporated the multiple picture/video posts. this makes people scroll through your post and stay longer. i think they’re using this as part of the new algorithm.

prove it. i’ve had a huge decrease in the reach in the last 2 days. plus of course instagram isn’t going to admit to forcing users to buy engagement with their own followers
