I do use their mass software for pictures and did try the beta
way back with the video but have never bought the full version
maybe worth a try, let me know if it works for you

I know windows can combine similar mpg vids with copy command. I am not sure about avi or mp4 though.
Also, you can use ffmpeg for windows. If you already have the 30 secs you want in a video file you can use ffmpeg to add them together. I know that it will work for avi .... it is what I use on linux.
