If you're looking to download videos from youtube I found the perfect program for this a while ago but I don't remember what it is called off the top of my head. Something like Free FLV converter. Unfortunately you need to get the pro version for $20 or something but it's the only software I found that can mass download reliably. Plus it can convert them for you.

EDIT: nvm not quite what I was looking for. The software that I saw awhile ago you would type in a keyword and you could specify how many of the videos to download. You didn't have to go through the videos one by one.

Possibly you are thinking of the JDownloader. Here is a blurb about it:

Nah Wiz of course I have JDownloader haha. It was called free FLV converter or something but you needed to pro version to mass download.

Yes, with Mass Video Blaster you can download from Metacafe and upload to Youtube. Just buy it man.
Believe me, you won't want to do it the other way around. Compare traffics between Youtube and Metacafe
