mass unfollowing tricks?

Keep in mind instagram's API limits 30/60 actions per hour depending on what bot you are using, reach that limit and you will raise a flag.
Approach it low and slow. If you split the 5,300 unfollowings into 30 days, thats 176 unfollows per day.
Thats just an example but you do whatever you feel comfortable with or whatever your time allows.
Also remember to set your unfollow delay parameters for your bot very high. Try to schedule them in batches. for ex. unfollow 10 to 15 users - delay 18 to 29 minutes - unfollow 10 to 15 users.....

you should not have issues then, I just like to be extra careful especially with established accounts.

what i do is unfollow first 200 people very slow and then wait 1 minute on the phone after the block ( soft when it goes white the follow button on the person's profile instead of blue when it the unfollow was successful), and then it lets me and then wait for 2 hours for the next 200 so it doesnt block and do this for around 1200 a day max over the day or else its a really long block 1 to 3 days sometimes so its better to stop before they block you.
