Hey, Is there any tools out there to get the PR of a list of urls. I know Ill need to use multiple proxies to achieve that because Google bans your IP after x nbr of request (Does anyone know the exact numbers here?) I have tried SEOQuake but after checking a few hundred of urls, the PR checker stopped working. I also did a quick search through BHW but I cant seem to find anything valuable. Thanks,
Try this: http://blackhatgateway.com/masspr.php Backlink check may fail after a while but I think the PR check will work longer. I've never tested over 50 or so URLs though.
Thanks, Im gonna try it! EDIT: It seems to works, but it is slow and theres alot of error. Seriously theres no "PR checking tool" out there avalaible for purchase?
This is script wich you install on your server. You can check about 1000 sites /day before google ban your IP So install it on different servers to check more. Latest version check also Alexa ranking, so if you don;t need it install 1.1ver (it will be faster): Code: 1.1 http://alexpolski.com/2008/05/06/mass-pagerank-checker-updated/ 1.2 with alexa ranking http://alexpolski.com/2008/06/04/alexa-rank-checking-added-to-mass-pagerank-checker-tool/ btw. this is not my script, but I installed it without troubles If you have errors just delete the second line in htaccess and try again.
ScrapeBox will do that (in my signature) with multiple rotating proxies. There's also a number of free online sites that will do small lists, you will just need a lot of patients if you want to do thousands of URL's.
@Carnagge: The script will use the webhoster IP, right? @Sweetfunny: If I use rotating proxies with ScrapeBox, how many PR will I be able to check each day? Let's say if I use 6 private proxies.
It's hard to say really, 100k maybe 500k it just depends. You are not limited to 1,000 lookups per day per IP. For instance i use SEOQuake which gets the PR of every URL in the Google search results. If i display 100 results per page, and load 10 Google results pages that's 1,000 PR lookups and i'd be banned if that were the case and it's not true. Also in ScrapeBox you can set the delay between lookups which effects blocking speed, plus if all 6 proxies do wind up blocked you can click "Check Pagerank" again in 15 minutes and it will continue where it left off. Hard to say exactly how many, but a lot.
