So, I am looking to be able to schedule posts for instagram and have them post automatically. Sites like hootesuite, require you to do it yourself they just act as a timer. Mass planner would be ideal but I have a Mac so it won't work. So does anyone know of any cheap or free alternatives that could do this service? Any replies are greatly appreciated!!

you could try gramblr, that should work, but you should be aware that IG itself doesn't support uploading through any 3rd party app, meaning that you're breaking their ToS by using that service, just for your information. :)

but I guess you already know that, so probably your best bet for a free software would be gramblr.
 
Does Gamblr really *automatically* upload photos or it is just like Hootsutie ?

are you really that lazy to just visit their site and find out that it can automatically upload photos? just check their website and look at the videos.
 
you can schedule Gamblr to post pictures in advance
 
Gramblr(free) or some online instagram tool although they do have a monthly cost.
 
You can use botcamp on a mac to run windows,its free and supported by apple.

You can also create a virtual machine (with VirtualBox) and then install windows. Depending on your computer, you can set an X amount of GB for the RAM. Personally I prefer a VPS. You have a PC somewhere in the world and it is working for you. So cool!

Is this for massplanner or??

Any program that doesnt need a vps? Like hootsuite?
 
Like others were saying, you can create a virtual machine into your Mac and run Windows on it. You can get your Windows from.. free sources, you know, but you can also buy your license from Ebay for example for pennies. I bought one of my Windows 7 Ultimate licenses for $27 from Amazon. Or just get a Windows VPS.
 
Grumbler does do it automatically, you just need to have your computer on.
 
Buffer is web / cloud based and has some free features.

Although there are many ways to doing this, the scripts tend to break easily.. API usage is the rate exception.
 
What about just renting out a VPS and running MP on it? You could get a free VPS from Amazon,for a year.
 
I'd suggest you get a vps as well, we have a guide on how to get a free one for 1 year from amazon, this way it will run 24/7 and you can connect to it from wherever and whenever you want.
 
Massplanner is one of the best I have, their support is dead quick and very helpful
 
You could follow their instructions on how to set up an AWS server for free for a year ... that's what I did (since I use a Mac as well)
 
Hi, I know this is late.
I registered with Amazon and all that in May, I tried using it through my mac using Remote Desktop Connection but with no luck. I looked around the web for answer as to how to set it up but no luck. Basically gave up back then.

Now a few days ago I've found a need for it and tried again a few nights ago. Still no luck. I must be missing something.

I used Remote Desktop Connections first and tried the downloaded and it didn't work. Tried the mac native app and it gives a similar error. So will be looking into the group settings and maybe starting another instance.

But my question is, should it be this hard to connect, following the documentation Amazon has given? Or im missing something entirely

Im still searching and found a fe threads that could help, will go through those today.
