Mass Emailing

Hello, im not sure if this is the correct place but i could not find any "email" section.


Anyways, I have two sites, one into gaming another into a more "travel" site. Ive tried doing google Ads, which resultet in bad experience, just throwing money = 0 return.

I was thinking to start sending mass emails to my niches, is this still a " thing" to do? or is this a dead section?

Also could this lead me to any problems even tho if i "target" niche people who signed up for same stuff?

Wrong sub-forum too. You've posted in Offline Marketing, and emailing is an online marketing thing. Emailing still works, but you have to be careful if the list is not opt-in and don't add your website into the email message. You will end up with it on all the spam lists.

hmm i see, sounds like thats not a good idea then. Ill need to market my page.

Buy a random domain that you will use for emailing and redirect all the traffic from it to your domain. Also add tracking parameters so you can track each campaign, email etc. This way you can also see the opening rate.

It is still very much a thing to do.
It could lead to trouble if you mean you're trying to target a scraped list.If you live in a country that cares about spam than it would lead to fines that will bankrupt you.
Try giving out good freebies and collect an email list.You can use your adwords experience to advertise it.

thanks for the help really, that sounds like a plan. i have to check this up before i ruin my pages totally lol.

I see , well i live in EU , scandinavia. not sure how much they care but i guess it would lead to trouble.

Ive just seen almost same pages spamming my email, but they come in junk.....so was just a idea i had.

Ill skip the travel page . but im not sure what else way i could market gaming/casino since google ads + FB ads do not allow it.

It's not dead yet. Make sure to not hit the spam filter and you're all good.

The right way to go about it is to build your email list, warm it up with free content and sell whatever you intend to sell. Legal, efficient, profitable.

hmm welll my idea is to find traffic, im lacking of traffic, thats why i thought about email marketing to boost.

i would capture emails but its hard when traffic is low.

To build your email list(s) you have a few options:

• Have an existing list off of which to build
• Have an existing site(s) with traffic where viewers can subscribe
• Purchase lists
• Scraping

Existing List Building
Let's say you have a list with 10 email addresses. Email your list of 10 and provide them with some type of incentive to recommend people they know to your list. If your list is family and friends they may help you out for free. If it is family and friends or not you could give them some type of free gift or you could provide them with a discount code to some other website they may appreciate your perhaps a discount to your own site/product/shop. Do this a few times to grow the list, but be sure to add a lot of valuable content between your requests for more. OR, create and put out great content, and within each email include information on how your incentives work for growing the list.

Existing Traffic Subscriptions
Blend your marketing into whatever site or means necessary so you both fit in and stand out so new subscribers can find you and subscribe. Once you have a couple hand fulls of users, see "Existing List Building" above.

Purchase Lists
This may be a quick method for you to grow your list. It will probably also be the most expensive method. Once you have your list, see "Existing List Building" above.

Scraping
This could be free, depending on your implementation, but scraping the world wide web for email addresses is easy on the surface to do, but more difficult to accomplish with any worthwhile end results. If you decide to go this route, I recommend doing so as a long-term project. Know that you may have to release your spiders into the wild for months at a time before they have collected you anything of substance. Also, I would recommend you place the e-mail addresses collected into a database so you can quickly filter through them, and flag good addresses versus bad addresses, and export as necessary.
