How many emails can Yahoo Mail or Gmail handle in lists before it gets a bit too much for them to handle, can they send out to thousands?

Also, I heard that it's not a good idea to send more than 50 emails at a time using these services otherwise, it can trip spam filters, is this correct?

OK, thanks for that, so what is a safe amount to use with these services then?

Looking on Google, if you use their pop server you can send to up to 100 emails with 500 unique email addresses max per day.

Perhaps finding a loosely controlled newsletter distribution service would be better for short term use if you can't find a good outbound pop server?

Thanks for that, what about Yahoo, how many emails can they send and to how many addresses?

Yahoo is 500 emails a day up to 100 recipients per message.

The accounts will likely get locked for 24+hrs though if you reach or exceed these figures. 600 emails isn't going to be a great success either, so you'd really need to manage different accounts, and many anonymous proxies.

Cheers for that info dinkish.
