Is it better to set up your own mass email system? Or to just pay someone to send the emails for you?
What is the cheapest way?
I am somewhat illiterate when it comes to setting something like this up.
Thanks in advance!

I think it would be cheaper if you'd do it your own. :/

If your 'illiterate' then there's no doubt getting someone to set it up would be worth your while, but it's all a question of how much money you're going to be making/how much you're times worth.

My advice, if you plan to do this for the foreseeable future read around the 1000's of threads here and get your own setup.. or even pay someone to set it up for you.
If it's a one time job, pay someone.

I think I would like to try this idea as a one time job.
Do you know how much it would cost to send a million emails?
I am assuming that the response rate would be around 0.05 of a %?
Thanks for the help btw!!!

It will cost a LOT to send that many by paying someone, so I'd advise against it unless you're gonna be making 1k+ of this, not to mention you'll have to deal with a non-legal business (unless you've managed 1m opt-in's) and if your list is unique... well I know I wouldn't trust anyone with it, if it's not unique then it might not even be worth your time.

Response rates would most likely be less unless your list is fresh/targeted. I'm assuming you've scraped the emails/picked them up somewhere!
Take a look at this if your up for doing it yourself;
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...omains-10-monthly-sending-432-000-emails.html
You could actually outsource the creation of that if you don't have any background in webdev.

Best of luck.

Do those "buy bulk email list" sites really do work ?

Or should you stay far far away from them ?

I dont know.
The leads I have are old biz opp leads I bought within a 5 year time
period that were phone leads.

Depending on your knowledge or wallet, it may be advantageous to pay someone. If you don't know about server setup or the methods needed for a high inbox rate, pay someone to send for you. If you got the money, you can have someone set it up for you and maintain it. If you're doing legal (USA) mailing then I would recommend amazon SES with an MTA integration. You can send 1m emails for a meager $100 and have one of the highest inbox rates.

you can hire somebody if you're that illiterate..however...you should probably learn? :)

In my opinion, it is more cheaper and professionl to send the bulk emails by your own than sending by others. usually you can buy the email marketing software and then you can use it for lifeitme. However, if you make your mails sending by others, the fees are charged by how many emails you sent. In the long term run, the expense will be high er than sending by yourself. You can try the free trial version of bbmail email marketing software. And there is a special video for how it works on the website. you can download it on the website.

Services are usually detected and blocked, so you'll pay someone and get some of your emails into spam folder, if you can do it yourself, you will get much better results.

Hi,

The only way to keep relation with you customers/users is only to email them and let them know what is now happening on your website. Mostly people use email marketing as it the best way to keep in touch. I personally use bulk emailing to that I won't lose them at any cost. If your having a website and need to promote your website then I will highly recommend you to use Bulk emailing. But there are some point I would like to highlight as it might help you in Bulk emailing.

-- Always use a Dedicated platform that will help you to deliver the email within the recipient Inbox not the Spam folder (nobody checks spam folder).

-- Dedicated SMTPs, IPs and Domain which should be clean (not listed in Blacklists)

-- A platform that has a subscription button on the email so that you will know which of your recipient is interested in your items/products.

-- A live report of your campaign running will always be helpful to know how many people had clicked and how many emails has been delivered. So the report should be for Opens + Clicks + Deliveries + Bounces + Blocks.

-- A live support that will let you know if your missing any point in running a campaign or having trouble in using any of the feature. Always preferred a live chat support of phone support so that you won't wait for some to response you via email.

I'm personally using "Imailunlimited" and always have found them helpful to run campaign and the best of all part is that when ever my list not clean they also provide service for cleaning up my list "Cleanmyemaillist" I would highly recommend them as the best I could find within the email marketing.

Thanks for the paid attention to my post.
