Mass email sender?

What program is good for sending one email to many emails? I'm pretty sure Gmail OR Yahoo! will not allow 500,000 outgoing emails lol.

I never done this before, so bare with me while I learn. Maybe it's not possible?

Do a search on here for interspire. There are some great methods and should be a free version floating around.

I have like 500,000 emails, but maybe I'll only send to only a thousand? I'm not too sure. I don't feel like being a spammer lol.

If I have a cloud hosting account, can I just install an email server, and use that?

If you have never done this before, you do not need to send an email to 500k people. Most emails are likely to be bad and bounces and untargeted.

Now, if you want to learn how to send to a small group and then scale up as you learn, that is a different story and I'm glad to help.

Interspire is good. It allows you to mail from a web hose with cPanel without showing your original IP address.

This site use to have a lot of great email conversations but not any longer so it is going to be harder to learn. However, do start small, learn as much as you can, and you'll get it.

Now, I'm not sure if you saw my edit, but if I have a server (cloud) and install an email server, and use that SMTP service, can I just use Microsoft Outlook - import email addresses, and send? I'm a PC maintenance major, but I'm not sure how this works. I'm not sure if the ISP of the cloud server actually caps the amount of emails an hour, or if it's unlimited.

Also, I signed up under you on SugarSync like a month ago. :)

Thanks for helping out! I'm not into spamming, but I have a great offer that will match the emails with the list I have. :)

Have a look at PowerMTA - it can send millions of emails.. probably costs a bit though.

I should know this, since I'm taking networking classes this semester, but I'm not sure at all. I know people use proxies - so I assume their web hosting provider controls how many emails sent an hour or day, right?

Can I install an email server or something, and send unlimited emails?

You can run your own email server (vps . net is cheap and scalable). There's a learning curve for even a small set-up (os, firewall, mailing list software, MTA, web hosting, IPs, reverse dns, domain keys / DKIM, SPF, whitelisting, feedbackloops, etc.). Sending how much how fast depends on your content, whether or not people want it, how many IPs and domains you have, bounces, etc.

There's the popular guys like constant contact, cheetahmail, and Vertical Response. Most of them have a zero spam complaint policy and can be expensive for large mailers.

I own a bulk mail service and have my own racks, server farms and custom cluster software in multiple data centers. Sending millions of legit mail is no problem. Hit me up if you want me to take a look at what you're doing and see if I can help.

I've had good luck with constant contact -- however the emails have to have been obtained by opt-in.

Try Interspire Email Marketer and Power MTA combination
 
I use for small campaigns sendblaster pro o email sender deluxe, they work very well, for 30.000 emails a day.
 
It is not the program that does matter but the smtp you will attach on it.

Either you use interspire or sendy or any other the results depending on the smtp you will use.
