Mass banning of bots going on recently?

I peaked at 280 followers about a week ago, and I am now at 197, was at 207 earlier in the day.

Is it just mass banning of bots, or are was there more activity due to the election and things are ramping down?

It could be a mix of reasons you mentioned and more. But yeah, safe bet and definitely a major factor is the banwave on bot accounts.

Yes. There is an ongoing mass banning of accounts. It is the way of platforms to check spam accounts and fake accounts.

It dropped to 117 today, went back up to 130 and is now at 75.

I had to unfollow a bunch of accounts to stay within the 60% ratio.

It could be a mix of bot purges and natural fluctuations in engagement, especially with increased activity during the election period.
