Hi guys, SB noob here. I keep reading things about using proxies for Scrapebox functions but I am wondering if it is also necessary to mask my home IP address when using Scrapebox? I get how a diverse set of IPs by the way of proxies is needed for SB functions (comments, posts, etc) but what about the actual IP of the computer that I have SB installed on? The 'control center' IP, so to speak? Perhaps this is a dumb question, but I am very much interested in not getting my home IP banned or blacklisted.

Thanks in advance for any input!

    Hello Jetsetter,

Using proxies is sufficient enough to protect your home IP address. Just make sure you have the proxies checkbox marked and load a nice list of public or private proxies. Complaints from Scrapebox usage are very very low to begin with.

As long as you use proxies in SB and have selected the "Use Proxies" option, you shouldn't have to worry about getting your "real" IP banned or blacklisted. Just make sure that you use anonymous proxies so your real IP does not "leak" when performing the SB tasks.
