Marketplace Seller (Web Design) - Payments Question

I'm going to create a thread in the Marketplace Web Design forum section, as I want to sell my web design services and I wonder how do the marketplace sellers accept payments from other BHW members. Of course it will be via PayPal, but should I ask 50% deposit before I start working? I'm planning to price my service at $150.

I am not a moderator on BHW, but for my own personal company. I get between 33% and a 100 percent before I start a project. Do not forget to value your time!!

Try to get the full or more than half of the amount as Upfront payment to start working on their project..
I have already lost so many $$$ as scamming from BHW Newbies here.. So beware also with the Newbie scammers.

I take 100% upfront for my service (not web design) and issue a refund if I fail to deliver within 30 days. Every service i've boughten from BHW I've paid 100% upfront. Being a paying member adds a level of trust but already being known by some Jr VIPs and other members is even better. Name recognition goes a long way.

If you are only charging that much then just get 100% up front before you commence any work. Cover your ass with a contract too in case they file a dispute with PayPal in an attempt to scam you. There is no guarantee that you will win the dispute but if you can prove all of their claims for a dispute to be incorrect then you have a good chance.

Just provide a quality service and deliver everything that you promise is included in your service and you will be fine.
