FAQ

1. What is this thread?
This thread was created to provide transparency to current and budding marketplace sellers on the current status of the marketplace.

2. Why is the review process taking so long?
In an effort to cut back on shit lists and complaints, we've raised the standards in the marketplace and conduct much more in-depth reviews. The drawback to this is that the review process takes much longer than it did before as we vet both the seller and their service. Additionally, we receive significantly more submissions than we did in the past, as you can see by the BST section status history.

3. What do I do if my marketplace thread hasn't been picked up?
If the marketplace status states that every pending BST has been picked up but yours has not, please contact support regarding this issue.

If there are currently pending threads in the marketplace, please wait 10 working days from the date of your BST submission to contact a marketplace moderator.

If there's a backlog in BSTs, please be patient with us while we work through the backlog.

4. What does "pre-checking" mean?
Before we pick up a thread for review, we compare the thread against the marketplaces rules and content standards and reject threads that have any violations. Whilst we look over this for sellers, there is still an expectation for sellers to read the rules and content standards (as they claim they do when they tick the marketplace rules confirmation box prior to submitting). As such, and as stated in every rejection notice, marketplace moderators do not list every issue that may be present in a sales copy.

5. How do I know if my thread has passed a "pre-check"?
If you're wondering whether or not your thread was already pre-checked, check the date in the marketplace review section status above. If you submitted your thread before that date, your thread was pre-checked. If you failed a pre-check, you would've received a rejection notice. If you passed a pre-check, your thread has been marked as 'ready to be reviewed'.

At the moment and when things calm down a bit, we are looking at sending messages to those sellers whose threads have passed pre-checks.

6. What happens after my thread has passed a pre-check?
Your thread will be put into a queue of threads that passed the pre-check and will be picked up by a marketplace moderator from the @iModBot account once it comes up next in the queue. Threads are picked up in the order that they were submitted in (oldest first).

7. My thread was submitted before the pre-check date in the status above and I haven't received a notice. What does this mean?
If your thread was submitted before the pre-check date in the status above but you haven't received a notice, this means one of two things:

You were not sent a notice yet.
Your account is being further investigated.

In the case of the second point, we check over all accounts that submit marketplace threads to ensure the accounts are not compromised or engaging in suspicious activity that may harm our marketplace or the buyers who frequent it. If you do not fit into this category, you absolutely nothing to worry about and your thread will be reviewed at a later date.
