Marketplace clutter: Disallow "Samples Please" posts and "PM sent" replies

I am noticing a bad trend (been here 20 years), marketplace threads with over 100+ pages, makes you think it is a great service, popular, but 49% of the posts are "send samples please" and 49% are thread bumps "PM sent" with 2% actually be something needed to make an informed purchase such as: reviews, case studies, timed promotions, etc.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is not going to go thru 110 pages of a sales thread to find actual reviews of a service.

I feel like this is cheating the system, bumping sales threads because the seller doesn't just post what is asked, instead sends Private Dms and so everyone has to do (and say) the same thing.
Instead of posting samples, contact info, etc that people ask for over and over again.

It is getting impossible to find a quality service when there are dozens of services for a specific thing, but all the pages are people asking for samples and only 3 actual reviews.
I've seen threads that started in 2016 with 150 pages and yet no reviews which is suspect.

Great way to clean up the marketplace. Disallow these types of comments, and "pm sent" replies which are obvious thread bumps. PLEASE!

Thanks for your thoughts. We are aware this is an issue, but it's also a valid sales tool for promoting member's threads. The ability to filter by response type - just show me reviews from Jr. VIP's for example - from members is part of the new marketplace that we've got in build at the moment. Along with a better way to provide review copies for the merchants so they can see who actually provides reviews and what they may consist of.
