So it all boils down to marketing right? I mean there that's how we get people to our site/squeezepage/landingpage/email whatever, Marketing is one of the most important aspects of business. If you can make someone want something then you can sell them something, if you can do this consecutively then you can make money, sometimes you can make alot of money. That's what its all about right? We want to make money, I know I do.There are many ways that people market and we are always looking for the next hook, the next big thing.

I realized today that the biggest marketers, the ones that have the biggest budgets, the ones that are the smartest and making the most money are aggressively marketing to us at all times.... On TV. The biggest marketing machine in the US by far is probably the television. So when you watch TV you aren't only watching some dumb shit, you are also watching the cutting edge in marketing. This may sound strange or obvious but if you really break down most commercials you can see the strategy, you can realize what they are doing and by judging your own reactions or those around you, you can gauge the commercial's overall effectiveness.

Now I'm not saying that you are gonna be an internet genius, but when people say "think outside the box", this is how I do it. Ill give an example. Today I saw a commercial for a phone. It was a nice damn phone. It included all sorts of shit for texting and internet access, it totally appealed to teens and was way more then a teen would ever need. Here is where a little marketing gem emerged. Near the end of the commercial in an appealing and authoritative voice the announcer said "Get this back to school phone now".

Now there is no way that you would need a phone that can text and google and play music and do all sorts of shit that is totally counterproductive for learning, for school, no one needs that in the classroom. but there it was "get this back to school phone now". And BLAMMO like that. that phone just sold 30,000 more units just because some dumb ass parents heartstrings "no offence to parents I happen to be one", got tugged. "Oh my kids going back to school soon, he should have that." Damn what marketing genius.

Anyways, I happen to be a skeptic and I think about this sort of shit, when I am being marketed to I am always very skeptical, why? Because I know that 99 percent of the shit that is being marketed to me i don't need. So the next time a commercial comes on learn from it. I try to. Maybe this is common knowledge to some because its so obvious but the next time you are wondering how to get that CL poster to buy something why not watch a little boobtoob, it just may help.
